As managing editor, I see how much care and effort goes into each story. Great journalism takes time and money, but the service it provides to the public is worth it. It’s a small price for Canada’s conversations.

To bring a story to life, it requires weeks, even months, of reporting. Then it goes through rounds of fact‐checking and copy‐editing before it finds its home on our pages and makes its way to you. I don’t take this job, or anything we bring to you, lightly. If you believe in the power of a paywall‐free, non‐profit newsroom, please make a donation today.
