From writer Jessica Leeder:

It’s been nearly a year since I learned the names Lilly and Jack Sullivan. Just four and six years old, the Nova Scotia siblings were gone by the time their mother woke one morning last May to unusual quiet in their rural home. A frantic search ensued; it continues to this day.

I began following the story because I could not look away—a child’s disappearance is a nightmare every parent fears. Now, almost twelve months in, there have been no signs or sightings of Lilly and Jack. How can nobody know where the kids went? Determined to find answers, I made several reporting trips to Nova Scotia. I emerged with a clear picture of how this tragedy has torn families apart, mired the parents in suspicion, and yielded more questions than answers. You can read the full story here.
