The Walrus Talks Equitable Housing
NEW EVENT: At The Walrus Talks Equitable Housing, seven leaders will answer a range of questions that we have all been asking ourselves: How are underserved communities, newcomers, and aging populations particularly impacted by Canada’s lack of affordable housing? How do urbanization, gentrification, and generational wealth come into play? And how can community engagement and advocacy; innovative social and sustainable housing; and responsible building become the solutions that enable the change we need?

Join us in Vancouver, or online, to learn about possible solutions to Canada’s housing crisis.

CANADIAN WOMEN'S FOUNDATION PRESENTS

The Walrus Talks Gender-Based Violence

In person in Toronto and livestreamed event
NEW EVENT:Β Β Did you know that more than 4 in 10 women experience abuse from an intimate partnerβ€”and rates of abuse are on the rise?

At The Walrus Talks Gender-Based Violence, speakers discuss how we can change a culture that doesn’t have a good track record of supporting abuse survivors or even of talking about the abuse women, girls, and two-spirit, trans, and non-binary people face. This abuse impacts more people than we realize, but it’s often hidden behind closed doors and people may not be safe enough to say a word about it.

Join us in Toronto, or online, to learn about interrupting abuse and building safety where we live, work, and play.

WATCH: The Walrus Talks Artificial Intelligence

Whether you are for AI or against it, there are a lot of questions about the technology: Can it help save lives when used in medical settings? Can it help combat climate change throughout the world? How can we ensure that responsibility and safety are at the core of AI development? And perhaps most importantly: Where do we find the middle ground?

At The Walrus Talks Artificial Intelligence, experts representing different industries discussed the rapidly changing phenomenon of AI.
